As a step in the direction of Quality Education, Delhi Public School Society set up a branch of it in collaboration with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, ERBC, in its Township at Nazira to cater to the educational needs of its employees from Lakwa, Gelekey, Sibsagar and Nazira and also to extend the opportunities to the community at large in its surroundings.

Indeed, to have brought the DPS in this area of North East indicates the fulfillment of a long cherished dream of ONGC management. Ever since the inception of this school, all the faculty members of the institution have been striving to impart quality education emphasising on the all-round personality development of students. Further, it is worth mentioning that the members of ONGC management have been constantly rendering their supportive hands in all our endeavours and success. We hope to reach the stars in the time to come.

The DPS society is a premier institution with a track record of 63 years of committed involvement and valuable experience in the field of quality education. It has a network of 145 highly reputed schools in India and abroad. DPSS is recognized throughout the world for its progressive approach to excellence. Distinction and diversity are the twin hallmarks of its philosophy, educational leadership and scholarly achievement its mission. Strong in tradition, it has evolved, since its establishment and its present day status, into a ‘MATRIX’ of net-working between the state, national and international educational development.
Amidst the burgeoning PUBLIC SCHOOL system since our nation’s independence in 1947, the Delhi Public School Society came into being as a non-profit making body. It established its first school in 1949 at Mathura Road, New Delhi. The founder members of the Society, whose mission was to enhance learning among the Indian youths, could hardly have imagined that, during the succeeding five decades, the DPS Society would become an educational organization to be reckoned with, a premier centre for teaching and learning, innovation and research or that it would educate both boys and girls, who would later make great contribution in their chosen fields.
